Red Ash is an upscale Italian restaurant that has some incredible pastas. One of the hidden gems on their menu though is the roasted bruschetta-stuffed with smoked trout. The trout compliments the bruschetta in a way you wouldn't expect and is a great start to an awesome meal!

Via is an awesome pizzeria that serves Detroit style pizza. Detroit style pizza consists of the sauce on top and y'all really can't go wrong with either the Carnivore, Omnivore or Cadillac.

Numero 28 should be on your list of places to try if you are looking for some good Italian. The restaurant has a great aesthetic and you will have a great dining experience there. The Cacio e Pepe is absolute fire and the best part is they make it in a cheese wheel live right in front of you!

Olive and June is an Italian restaurant located off of west 35th street in North Austin. When you talk about fine dining, this is one of the better spots in Austin. Even though their menu is a bit pricey, they have an incredible happy hour. EVERYTHING on the menu is 50% off, including both food and drink Monday-Friday from 5:00pm-6:00pm. The Mafaldini is unreal and is our recommendation if you check out this southern Italian spot.

La Traviata on Congress is a fantastic Italian restaurant. The Caesar salad is served as a full leaf and is an awesome starter. We highly recommend trying their fettuccini con funghi or carbonara as these are both popular items on the menu.

La Matta is an Italian sandwich shop located on Comal street in East Austin. If you're looking for a quick but tasty bite, this is a great spot for that. They have quite the spread when it comes to paninis. They also have fantastic mozzarella and burrata cheese plates that compliment their sandwiches well. The Soppressata with fontina, roasted peppers, and basil is one of our favorites from the menu.
